South Africa has been under lockdown due to COVID-19 since 27 March 2020. However, as from 1 May 2020, we have moved to an alert level system having levels 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 with level 5 being total lockdown.

We are now at alert level 4 in terms of which we are permitted a maximum 30% staff complement at the office with all those who can work from home staying home. CIPC ( Intellectual Property Registry) has also announced it will be open with reduced staff levels as from 4 May 2020.

Thus, we foresee again being able to receive courier deliveries at our office and to be able to file South African patent and trademark applications and outstanding documentation.

Please be understanding if there are delays at this time.
